Design
The GiraGlob ® is rotationally molded in high-density copolymer (HDPE) in 3 design units. It is then bespoke assembled & finished.
Openings for windows, vents, solar panels, & light fittings are cut out of GiraGlob Shell ®.
The GiraGlob’s internal turning mechanism is specifically engineered to turn slowly without gaining momentum & speed. It is rotatable by either turning the dial in the center of GiraGlob Table ® or pushing GiraGlob Shell ® from the outside. GiraGlob Bench-Seat ® sits 8 people comfortably.
GiraGlobs ® are available in any colour & may be collaged with signage vinyl, painted, or transformed by carving, drilling, cutting, or adding appendages.
The GiraGlob ® is robust, engineered to cyclone conditions & CPTED compliant (Crime Prevention through Environmental Design). All 3 GiraGlob design units have a 50-year life span, after which they provide eco-friendly material that can be recycled up to 10 times for future needs. Created by the New Zealand art and design collective Lgop, GiraGlob ® is an international registered design.

Building on Joseph Beuys’s concept, GiraGlob aims to initiate interconnected, compassionate, & thoughtful global communities through a hybrid of art & design: The GiraGlob ®.
Stand-alone or in groupings GiraGlobs® create accessible, safe, free, informal & engaging social spaces to meet, share & connect.
GiraGlob is flexible for numerous social needs. The 3 design units of the GiraGlob ® allow a multitude of options, depending on how they are assembled & are ideal for creating customized GiraGlobs.
For instance ‘KioskGlob’ may offer refreshments, services, or entertainment, & ‘ShelfGlob’ might be used as exchange library, information stand, or small retail pod.
GiraGlob ® is suitable for any Applications from architectural & urban space design to hospitality, events, private uses & beyond.
